The marro roig (brown and red is beautiful, it caught my eye looking through tapies work. Using colours of brown black and strong red coming through makes this stand out for me. It is different,and this is why is like it so much.

The print by Robert is different in so many ways. I like how everything looks old and torn, the colours are dark which gives it this great effect. It stood out to me.

Larry rivers
The Red Beret (1956)
The red beret is very different. It looks unfinished but everything in it comes out so clearly. It looks like it has been done in stages from start, but has not quite finished. It catches my eye everytime I look at it, I like it because it is different but effective.

The angel with triangle is very pretty, playful and fun I think, I like how well this print is made, the colours are very subtle. It's perfectly made with the colours that have been used and how every edge and cut is very precise.

The Marilyn diptych
The Marilyn diptych is a silkscreen painting. It was made in August 1962.
The Marilyn diptych contains fifty images of the actress Marilyn Monroe, twenty five of the images on the left hand side are brightly coloured while the other twenty five are in black and white.
It was made by screen printing/ acrylic on canvas. It is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink blocking stencil to make an image. The attached stencil makes open areas of mesh that transfer ink which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A fill blade or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing ink into the mesh openings for transfer by capillary action during the squeegee stroke. it is the process of using a stencil to apply ink onto a substrate.
The reason I like this piece is because it is cleverly made, I like how half is in black and white and the other half is in clour, it is said that this is to represent the life and death of Marilyn Monroe.

Wilhelmina barns graham
Wilhelmina Barnes graham (known as willie) was one of the foremost British abstract artists, a member of the influential society of arts.
Willie was born on June the 8th 1912 And died on January the 26th in 2004.
She was actively working as an artist from her earliest times at edinburugh college of art in the 1930s through until her death in 2004. Painting and drawing were her principal output through in her last years and became very involved with print making through her collaborations with graal press.
Since 1991 willie produced many amazing array of prints. For willie making prints was an astonishing experience where she could play with colours and forms to create series of images. The first series was the time portfolio, other major sets included the millenium and earth series completed before she died in early 2004.
Willies work i think is wonderful,she loved the thought of life and living and she brought her thoughts to the canvas with producing her beautiful work.
